For more than 50 years, Ljudska univerza Rogaška Slatina has been a non-profit public organisation operating in the field of education and adult learning on a local level. Over the years, the organisation carried out ten formal education programs involving high schools in training courses in the fields of tourism, children care, transportation, and economics.
The broad objective of the interdepartmental research group Civic Education Agora of the University of Hanover is to let both the students enrolled in the university and external cooperators with the university gain and improve key skills for active citizenship and participation in the social and political life at all levels.
The Estuar Foundation was established in 1993 to offer services in the field of Mental Healthcare. It manages five rehabilitation centres in Bucharest, Cluj, Ploiesti and Giurgiu, and four family-homes in Bucharest. The foundation’s primary goal is to provide adults affected by mental illnesses with viable alternatives to the hospitalisation, to give them the chance of social inclusion.
Growing Better Lives is a community interest company that develops and researches innovative approaches to Mental Healthcare. It runs various projects, among which: GREENCARE, aimed at improving treatment plans by connecting people to nature; LIVING AND LEARNING, aimed at developing training programs for practitioners and operators working in the field of Mental Healthcare; SOCIAL FUTURE, a research project for the development of innovative strategies in the area of Mental Healthcare. The project is carried out in cooperation with the Institutes of Mental Health in Berkshire.
NATIONAL NON PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SPORTS CLUBS FOR SOCIAL INTEGRATION (ITA)
The A.N.P.I.S. is an association of sports clubs – Polisportive - born in 2000, which includes 3,000 members of 82 associations spread over most of the national territory that, progressively, starting from the first half of the 1990s, were created as a tool for social promotion and the fight against marginality through the promotion and implementation of non-competitive sports activities.
