For more than 50 years, Ljudska univerza Rogaška Slatina has been a non-profit public organisation operating in the field of education and adult learning on a local level. Over the years, the organisation carried out ten formal education programs involving high schools in training courses in the fields of tourism, children care, transportation, and economics.

Moreover, they implemented 19 programs for training and placement of unemployed people. As far as adult education is concerned, the organisation offers training in terms of language courses, computer skills, accounting, and so on, according to the participants’ needs. They also organise seminars and workshops on cultural topics, and they run a University of the Third Age with many different training opportunities for people over 50. Ljudska Univerza established a Care Work Centre offering support and training programs for people with special needs, migrants, and people at risk of social exclusion.
